What is Elon Musk’s role in the Trump White House?
The Trump White House is panicking, and now they're flat-out lying about Elon Musk's role in the Oval Office.
Over the weekend, the Trump administration claimed Musk has "no actual or formal authority to make government decisions." But based on Musk's actions over the last few weeks, including DOGE's alarming attacks on programs that benefit everyday Americans, we know they're trying to bamboozle us because the Trump administration is in legal hot water.
And you are taking notice and speaking up. The noise we're making is working. The Trump administration is on the ropes because we're forcefully calling them out on their lies, hypocrisy, and dangerous actions. And we're just getting started.
They're trying to gaslight us, but we know better.
Elon Musk is using his ownership of the social media platform X to shape the information people see. He's spreading conspiracy theories, boosting right-wing propaganda, and meddling in geopolitics. With unfettered access to the White House and our government, Musk is helping Trump build a massive authoritarian force that we must keep resisting.
Keep calling your legislators, keep up the pressure, and, to borrow a phrase from the great Congressman John Lewis, keep making good trouble. This fight will be hard, but I know we can win together.
