A new Congress

As we begin a new year and a new Congress, we face unprecedented challenges. The road ahead will not be easy, but the work we do in the coming months and years will have a profound impact on the lives of Oregonians and the American people.

As we begin this Congress, we know MAGA Republicans are hell-bent on advancing Project 2025's dangerous agenda—one that threatens to undermine critical protections for working families, women, democracy, and our planet. From restricting voting rights to dismantling healthcare, rolling back environmental protections, and cutting vital social safety nets, the stakes could not be higher.

But I have one thing to say to you today: we will not back down and let them win. Democrats will stand united to fight against Trump's harmful agenda with everything we've got. We will work tirelessly to protect the progress we've made to build a brighter, more equitable future for all of us.

Together, we will stand up for the values that define us. Let's remember why we are here: to serve the people and ensure that our government works for them, not for the powerful.
