The Senate has prioritized voting on President Biden’s remaining judicial nominees
As we head into the end of the year, the Senate has prioritized voting on President Biden's remaining judicial nominees.
We have been protecting our courts against extremism by confirming judges who will rule in cases by using the Constitution and precedent as their guide, not right-wing political ideology. When we've finished, we can also celebrate that President Biden has appointed – and the Senate confirmed – over 200 federal judges.
Biden's nominees are the most qualified, diverse bunch of judges ever, mirroring the beautiful diversity of our country. These are fair-minded judges who will rule for the people, not the powerful.
With so much at stake, it's critical to have judges who will uphold the rule of law. On issues like health care, abortion, environmental regulations, antitrust laws, and so much more that matter to Americans, these judges will be pivotal in upholding the good work we've accomplished over the last few years and be a bulwark against Trump decimating our courts.
We will keep pushing to confirm as many judges as possible by the end of this session because they will be vital to protecting our civil rights in the coming years, and rest assured that beginning in 2025, Democrats will spend the next term vigorously vetting all of Trump's judicial nominations.
Onward!
