Kevin McCarthy’s gone, but the chaos is there to stay

It's been a chaotic few weeks in the House of Representatives. Everyone in the country has been following along with the Republican-made mess in the House. So, let's recap the chaos:

First: Republicans reneged on the budget deal they agreed to just a few months ago, threatening to shut down the government at the behest of a few MAGA Republicans.

Then: Those same MAGA Republicans successfully called a vote and unseated Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House.

Now: We have NO Speaker of the House. We have another looming funding deadline in less than 40 days, and, once again, we're sure to be delayed until the last minute by MAGA Republicans' antics.

Our country is being held hostage because the entire Republican party is controlled by a few far-far-right MAGA Republicans, and the American people are suffering because of GOP chaos and inaction.

We have a chance to win back the House in 2024, but it'll require all of us pitching in to win important races. Can I count on you to give $3 to the Oregon Blue Victory Fund and help us win back the House?

Republicans are already targeting Democrats in OR-4 and OR-6, and they need our help to defeat the MAGA forces coming for them. And to top it off, we need to flip OR-5 from red to blue if Democrats have any hope of winning the House in 2024.

The path to a Democratic majority runs through Oregon.

There's no time to waste. We can restore common sense to the House, but we have to invest in the statewide campaign for a Democratic House in 2024—and we need to invest today.
