I’m taking a stand against Big Pharma.

I am sick and tired of Americans being asked to pay more for medications than people who live in other developed countries. In a moment I'm going to share what our movement is doing to end price gouging in the prescription drug market — but first I have to ask: Can you chip in and help fuel this movement today?

Americans treating Hepatitis C should not be asked to pay $15,280 more than folks in Switzerland for the exact same prescription.

We should not be paying almost $100 for a single vial of insulin, a life saving prescription, when Canadians can buy it for $12.

This is ridiculous.

Big Pharma is forcing Americans to give them a BIG pay day for drugs the U.S. government helped pay to develop. That's why I wrote the End Price Gouging for Medications Act. This bill will:

  • require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to ensure Americans do not pay more for prescription drugs than the lowest price per drug in 11 other countries;
  • imposes civil penalties on companies that charge Americans more than they charge people in comparable countries so they pay back their ill-gotten profits and more; and
  • save working families millions in health care costs.

I will always stand between Americans and greedy corporations, but I need your help. Our movement is about looking out for hard working Americans, and that means taking on deep-pocketed Big Pharma. Can I count on you to join the movement and fight for fair prescription prices?

Onward!

Jeff
