Our grassroots movement against corruption
Our movement is growing!
The American people know that there is something rotten on Capitol Hill — that members are writing legislation while thinking of their stock portfolios; that members are buying stocks with information the public doesn't have.
It's wrong. We need to end it.
And we have a growing coalition to make that happen.
When I worked to ban Congressional stock trading in the past, I was met with indifference from many of my colleagues, and downright stonewalling from others, but this time is different.
Today, there is an appetite to make a change — to ensure that this kind of conflict of interest is gone forever.
The actions we are taking today are not possible without our grassroots movement. We need to grow our movement every day if we want to root out corruption. After all, grassroots donations make it possible for those of us who reject corporate PAC money to power our campaigns.
