We did it!

I wasn't on the ballot in 2022, but I asked a lot of you. Again and again, you came through.

Combined, all the folks on Team Merkley made over 55,000 grassroots donations supporting other Democrats – the Oregon Blue Victory Fund, our powerhouse candidates in Oregon – Andrea, Val, Tina, and Jamie – and Senators and Senate candidates in tough races across the country. I'm thrilled that we protected strong majorities in the Oregon House and Senate, as well.

Without dedicated champions like you, Democrats would not have held the line in the U.S. Senate, kept it close in the U.S. House, and ensured progressive leadership in our state capital.

Thank you for all that you did.

I am looking forward to working with Governor-elect Tina Kotek, Representative-elect Andrea Salinas, and Representative-elect Val Hoyle to make life better for all Oregonians.

It will be great to work with John Fetterman in the Senate and — after we help Raphael Warnock win his runoff — we'll have a little bigger majority to keep pushing strong solutions for working families.

Together, we'll work to make housing, college, and health care more affordable; we'll keep up the fight on the climate crisis; we'll deliver relief for working families and hold big corporations accountable; we'll defend our democracy from the extremists and radicals who've given up on America; and we'll keep adding judges to our federal courts who respect our freedoms and our constitutional vision of equal justice under the law.

P.S. I want to sound a note of appreciation for Jamie McLeod-Skinner. She fought a good fight in a very tough district. She may not have been victorious, but I know that her campaign lifted other candidates whose districts overlapped with hers. She deserves our gratitude.
