Where were you two years ago?
I'm sure you remember exactly where you were on that Friday night two years ago when we all heard that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had passed away.
It was a gut punch.
Because we loved her for her unwavering commitment to our rights and the principles we cherish, and especially for the rights of women and the cause of equal justice under law.
And because we knew, right then and there, that it would eventually be the final blow to Roe v. Wade. Donald Trump and the radicals in the Federalist Society knew their best bet to ban abortions was to stack the Supreme Court with radical, anti-choice judges. And they did.
But as terrible as the Dobbs decision is, we don't have to just take it.
And as outrageous as the Republican bill to outlaw all abortions is, we don't have to just take it.
We can honor RBG by keeping up the fight. We will defend freedom in Oregon and across the country by winning at least two more Senate seats, fixing the filibuster, and codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law.
Remember how you felt on that Friday night two years ago. And then make a donation in RBG's honor to the Blue Wave Project — and let's win this fight for her!
Onward!
