This Valentine's Day, I want to spread the love and support some of the incredible candidates fighting to build our Democratic majority in the US Senate.
In North Carolina, Cheri Beasley was a public defender who became the first Black woman chief justice of her state's Supreme Court — and she's fighting for justice for those left behind, in the courts and in our economy.
In Florida, Congresswoman Val Demings rose from poverty to become the first in her family to go to college, a social worker, and then, the first Black woman police chief of Orlando. She's a tireless champion for public safety, civil rights, and expanding the American Dream to all.
In Ohio, Congressman Tim Ryan represents Youngstown and Akron, communities struggling as American manufacturing has gone overseas. He's a relentless advocate for Ohio's working families — fighting to raise wages, make health care more affordable, and revitalize manufacturing in the USA.
