About the big race in North Carolina

Cheri's story is exactly what American service should inspire. She became a judge, and subsequently, the first Black woman to serve as Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
She's a powerful champion for voting rights, workers' rights, womens' rights, environmental protection, and so many of our Democratic values. She'll make a great Senator.
After everything we've seen, everything we've fought for in these last few years, I'm absolutely committed to fighting for a leader like Cheri Beasley in North Carolina. Her experience and tireless commitment to justice is exactly what we need in the U.S. Senate right now.
... which, perhaps, is why Republicans are already committed to spending tens of millions of dollars on this race. Because, and let's be frank: if they don't win here, they have very little chance of taking back the Senate.
I can't think of a more stark contrast: a loyal Republican who will vote to put Mitch McConnell back into power... or electing as Senator the first Black Supreme Court Chief Justice in North Carolina history, and a true progressive.
