I'm supporting Jeff Merkley in his race to save the Senate to save America

I remember when I first launched my campaign for Senate more than 2 years ago.

I wasn't sure what to expect. One of my biggest concerns was whether or not we'd have the resources to win an expensive race even as wild amounts of outside money poured in to beat me.

But then, minutes after we announced, a teacher from Tucson made one of the first donations and we were off...

We've received hundreds of thousands of donations since then, fueling our campaign with grassroots support that I'm very proud of. You should be too.

But today I'm supporting my friend, Senator Jeff Merkley, as he launches a journey of his own. To celebrate his 65th birthday, Jeff's running a marathon to help raise money for candidates across the country — including me. He calls it his Race to Save the Senate to Save America — because the stakes are really that high. He's running 26.2 miles on October 31, and I'll be rooting for him every step of the way.
