Who wins in Virginia now will matter everywhere in 2024.
We've seen it again and again.
Somewhere in this great and beautiful land of ours, a right-wing Republican propped up by corporate special interests wins an election—and then proceeds to undermine our values and attack critical services.
In Texas, where the Governor signed that horrific law banning almost all abortion access. In Arizona, where the Governor has undermined the right to vote and attacked vote-by-mail. In South Dakota, where the Governor has refused nearly all efforts to stop the pandemic, causing some of the worst outbreaks in the nation.
And now, in just 16 days, voters in Virginia will decide whether to elect Trump acolyte Glenn Youngkin or former Democratic Governor Terry McAuliffe, and his track record of success. The polls are getting tighter and tighter, and in the very purple state of Virginia, it could go either way.
Will you chip in $3 right now and help power Terry to victory?
You know the drill. It's all going to come down to voter turnout. Which side has the strongest team on the ground, encouraging voters to turn those ballots in or vote on election day?
In state after state, our democracy is at stake. Whoever wins the Governor's race in 2021 will be Governor in 2024—when Virginia will, once again, be a battleground state for the presidency.
Let's make sure we've got Terry's back right now, so he can have our back later.
