The GOP target list: Peter DeFazio & the new SIXTH district

This week, Oregon's House and Senate are meeting to (hopefully) finalize the maps for our Congressional districts — including the new 6th district.

Here's what we know: Under just about every proposed map, the new 6th district will be a tough fight. And every single district will be substantially different than they've been in years. After all, we've had five districts for four decades.

We must be fully committed to defending our Democratic majority in Congress — by winning right here in Oregon. I'm asking you to donate right now to the Oregon Blue Victory Fund for 2022. We have to get our organizing work fired up right away.

In Eugene, Congressman Peter DeFazio is being targeted by Republican leaders hoping to punish him for his powerful work assembling an infrastructure budget that will make a critical difference in tackling the climate crisis. In 2020, it was the most expensive congressional race in Oregon history — and they're coming for him again.

Already, Republicans are recruiting candidates and promising a fight over our new 6th Congressional District. And we can be sure that, no matter how the lines are drawn, Republicans will surely make this open seat race a national priority.

Oregon will take center stage in the fight for Congress in 2022.
