I have breaking news for you.

In Texas, where Governor Greg Abbott is trying to pass a series of attacks on Texans' freedom to vote, Democrats in the Texas House have walked out — denying a quorum and preventing this attack.

Now, I'm not typically a fan of walkouts. But when it comes to defending our Constitution and specifically the fundamental right to vote, we must do everything in our power.

And that's what it's going to take in the U.S. Senate — a commitment to do everything in our power to defend every American's right to vote, and elections free from the deluge of secret, unaccountable money and protected from right-wing tampering.

Let's make sure that these heroes in Texas have the resources they need to keep up this fight. And let's make sure that wherever and whenever champions of democracy step up, we've got their back.
