You might say that Stacey Abrams is the firestarter, the woman who got things going in Georgia two years ago in her razor-thin race for Governor.
A lot of people (including me!) think the only reason Stacey isn't Governor right now is because of aggressive voter suppression tactics that her opponent implemented as Georgia's Secretary of State.
But instead of sulking, Stacey responded in the best way possible — she organized. She started the Fair Fight movement to register and mobilize voters.
And now, Georgia is turning blue. Joe Biden beat Donald Trump, and the Fair Fight movement is on the ground to flip the two critical Senate runoffs by organizing, organizing, and organizing some more.
Fair Fight's mission is critical right now, especially given how Donald Trump and his allies are trying to undermine the will of the people with bogus claims of fraud.
But, more broadly, we need to make sure the will of the people is heard — by taking a stand against voter intimidation and every effort Republicans are making to discourage democratic participation.
Fair Fight is doing exactly that, and they'll be critical allies on the ground in Georgia as these two Senate runoffs go down to the wire.
What they need from us, from people around the country, is grassroots financial support. Because we're already seeing big Republican SuperPACs pouring money into Georgia to try and buy these runoffs.
